  • It’s funny, I’ve very recently had pretty much the opposite experiences with the Teams/Zoom reliability.

I had and interview project, and and in about 50% (around 15 out of 29-31, something like that) of the cases Teams calls failed pretty much in the beginning due to some technical problem, almost always the problems coming from the other end, on 1 case something unexplainably went to shit on my end (suddenly no sound or video), and I think of my self being pretty tech savvy on the user side. We had to fall back to phone calls for those “It’s just Teams, no problems, I understand” cases.

In the Zoom calls, 5/5 worked without issues.

Wonder why this is such recurring issue. I mean, havent Microsoft poured hundreds of millions of euro/dollars into the app/infrastructure? Where is the money going?

  • Tämä on erittäin kovaa faktaa. Jotenkin kuitenkin tulee sinne ajauduttua välistä - katson tämän sellaiseksi “kukaan ei tilaa Seiskaa mutta suurin osa päätyy kuitenkin sitä lukemaan - call it morbid curiosity” -ilmiöksi.

p.s. mikä on suomenkielinen ilmaisu em. englanninkieliselle ilmaisulle? Hyödyllinen mutta samalla kirottu engelska valtaa aivoista ja ajattelusta tilaa, kotimaisen tappioksi.

  • Its happening on both my laptop and big computer. FF updated to latest on both, only extensions Ublock Origin, Block HTML5 Autoplay and Zotero. Doesnt work in different networks.

Accessing the same sites with Brave or Vivaldi, no problems. It sucks ass and I’m certainly not the only one with this problem. Why the heck does this problem keep popping up with FF periodically, judging by both FF and CF support forums?

Thats the exact reason I just donated my old pc to my sisters kids as a “practice computer”, encouraging them to go rummaging around.

What woke me up was all these 20-somethings in our uni having trouble using computers. Damn, how can you get through our secondary education in our country and not know how to use a normal Windows pc?
