A Dutchie with an interest in opensource software, weird/bad movies and alternative music.
This being a b-movie directed by the late, great Roger Corman means two things. One, it has a cameo appearance by Dick Miller, and two, (a) scantily clad lady(s) also make an appearance…

Have fun watching! :)
⚠️ SLEAZE AND BAD TASTE WARNING ⚠️

Thou Shalt Not Kill… Except (aka Striker’s War) (1985)
An army unit on patrol in Vietnam is ambushed and most of the unit is killed. The survivors are given leave to return Stateside and see their families. They decide to visit one of their buddies who had been wounded in the ambush. When they arrive in his town, they run up against a killer cult led by a murderous psychopath.
It’s a schlocky Vietnam-vets-vs-evil-hippies movie and Sam Raimi plays the evil hippie cult leader (in a hilariously over the top fashion). It can be found on ok dot ru. :)
Growing up, I used to frequent the local video rental store as well, so I know what it’s like to be captivated by all the amazing artwork on the VHS boxes. I’m glad these posts manage to bring you back to that time and place.
It’s really my pleasure sharing these movies. They deserve to be viewed by more people. :)
A fun slasher flick directed by Scott Spiegel and written by him and Lawrence Bender. These guys are buddies with the Raimi brothers and Bruce Campbell, and indeed they all appear in this movie. Intruder can be found on archive.org. A few more stills…
A Japanese-American co-production directed by the man who would go on to make the supremely awesome Battle Royale. Watch it for free on (or download it from) archive.org. A few more stills…

A highly imaginative horror comedy from Don Coscarelli, the creator of The Beastmaster and Phantasm. You can find it on YouTube. A few more stills…
The Giant Claw is fun to watch with friends on a bad movie night: a pizza, a couple of beers, and an atrocious looking antimatter bird. 🦅
A schlocky B-movie from Jack Arnold, the director of Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Incredible Shrinking Man and It Came From Outer Space. A few more stills…
Nope, it’s La(n)dera!

Another fun grindhouse movie, starring the always wonderful Candice Rialson (of previous /c/bmoviebonanza entries Chatterbox! and Hollywood Boulevard.) A few more stills…
Way more charming than the Will Smith version in my opinion, and that’s because of Vincent Price of course. A few more stills…
The greatest Hong Kong action movie that Hong Kong never made. Drive can easily hold its own against the best buddy comedies out there. A few more stills…
