  • All three games have aged a fair bit, but they are still the same masterpieces as when they first launched. You can get used to the gameplay pretty easily, but story and the cinematic presentation are timeless, they’re the best parts of the games bar none. The only true clunkiness comes from the menus, which are pretty confusing and unintuitive these days.

  • Hello! I started playing brawl when I was very young, and kept up with the series since. I’ve always mained yoshi because I loved the little guy when I was a toddler and never really developed past that. I started to go to locals late last year, and I’ve gotten a lot better at the game since thanks to the excellent MD/VA scene. I can now properly yoshi my way to top 5 or so in a local, but the minute I go to the top weekly in my state’s capitol, it’s a bloodbath where I barely go 2-2. I’ve got time to improve, but it’s shocking to learn how massive skill gap between you and the veterans of the scene is once you start.

I also love melee, but it’s just so technical and fast, I can’t keep up. I’ll still watch Amsa though.
