  • It’s nuts that companies really think that a subscription fee + ads is something that is reasonable.

But crazier is the mass of idiots who go for it without question.

Though, I was raised in a household that didn’t have cable growing up and when we did (my mom won a contest and we got cable for free for 1 year) we were all surprised that people legit pay a monthly fee for cable and endure ads as much as what we got on network TV.

You can’t have it both ways. Either I’m being shown ads to pay for the content you are providing to me at no monetary cost directly to me or I pay to avoid being bombarded with ads. There is no middle ground between the two. I will never pay for the privilege of obnoxious ads, even if there is a higher tier without ads.

    Miss me with that bullshit.

I’m sorry for your loss. But I’m glad your buddy had a loving home until their last breath. They knew love and comfort and a safe place to call home.

My cat is around 13 years old and while he’s still youthful and plays, I worry about this day that is inevitably coming soon.

I’ve lost other pets in the past and it’s hard but we usually get another after some time has passed. They never truly replace the pet that you lost, though. You sometimes think you’ll name it the same but you can’t. It’s too painful and there will only ever be one of that friend you lost.

Shortly after my dad passed, the cat we had that really loved him most would spend most of her time with me. She was an old cat and I tried my best to love on her like she did to my dad and we did have a good relationship similar to the one she had with my dad. But then on a hot summer day, I found her laying on the tile of our laundry room and not having the strength to get up and just being miserable. I knew the end was coming for her and tried making her rest there as easy as easy as possible while I found a vet. I couldn’t find anything soon so she laid there for a few days but I had an appointment lined up for later that week, think it was a Thursday. I kept a fan on her and made sure she had food and water nearby and tried feeding her and giving her water but she wouldn’t accept any of it.

The day before her vet appointment, I came home and saw my brother digging and knew what it was. She had already passed during the day while I was at work.

It’s really difficult to deal with. They’re not just some dumb animal you had around the house. They’re family and will always carry a special place in your heart.

I’m sorry for your loss and hope the best for you.

  • It has a good story but ends on a cliffhanger and no sequel has officially been announced, AFAIK. So just be aware in case you decide to get involved in it.

The in-game single-use items for real money was stuff like points towards skill progression, from what I remember. I bought a day one copy and they gave me 4 of these to use but they could only be used in one save so I don’t think I ever used them.

But you can play the game and earn these naturally or possibly use cheats to gain more if desired. I’m sure something like WeMod has them to be edited in easily.

All these shitty knock offs of Steam do this and I don’t understand why it is this way. Why Steam never has this issue but every other piece of shit knock off does.

I think Epic is even worse than EA and Ubisoft’s because it also re-requires 2FA nearly every single time despite me using it in the same location it’s always being used and me checking the box to remember me.

  • I wondered the same lol.

But he was all around off putting.

I found the Maverick on their website and was amazed. It was a limited edition with all the features for around $40k if I remember right and was right around the corner from where I worked. So I knew I wanted it and went to see it as soon as I got off of work.

Walked into the dealership and asked them about their Mavericks. They said they had 4 available with one person actively signing the paperwork to take one of them home today. I asked about the available trims and they listed them but none matched the one I saw online so I felt I needed to now bring up the exact one I saw online (didn’t want to make it obvious I wanted this so they could upsell me, but when they didn’t list it off, I knew I lost my edge and might be wasting my time).

When the salesman saw the one on the website and the price he literally laughed and said they would never have anything like this for that price on their lot. He said they immediately put a $4,500 markup on all Mavericks.

I honestly wanted to walk when I heard that but my mom and her husband wanted to still give them a chance so we went on a test drive and that’s when he told us the markup on the Lightnings too.

He had also asked me about what I did for work and when I mentioned some of the stuff I did, he made a condescending remark to me too. Can’t remember exactly what he said, but I remember the feeling of disrespect.

Just all around was one of the strangest dealership visits I’ve ever had. Never found someone who made me feel like wanting to run so bad.

As I write this…makes me wonder if he didn’t like me and wanted to chase me off by being as off putting as possible.
