  • Mods. I know that’s not really helpful, but it really is how many of us continue to enjoy it. That said, there are still things you can do to spice up your gameplay on vanilla. The biggest one is this- try a different playstyle. Archery is incredibly effective, so try making a character who absolutely refuses to use one because his whole family was slaughtered by a rogue sentient bow that laughed at him while it did it. Recruit different companions and try to keep them alive in different situations. Be an absolutely evil sonofabitch and kill everyone the game allows you to. Try Oblivion, for a similar, but distinctly different (and in my opinion, slightly superior, despite Skyrim’s many advantages) experience. Or, most simply, stop trying to get blood from a stone, and put the game down until the itch actually returns, not until you feel like it should’ve. Best of luck to you.

  • That was… Not great. Despite everyone having dealt with Skrulls, they sure don’t bother confirming anyone’s identity. I kept waiting for Fury, Hill, and Talos to have some sort of code words or something, but no. Plus, Fury both didn’t question that his old friend Sonya forgot his preferred drink (Skrulls, to his knowledge, can’t copy memories, it was a pretty big plot point of Captain Marvel) and how the random guy in the bar knew who he was. Even a bit of suspicion and boom, they got the bad guy. I also feel like they wouldn’t have trusted Gaia so easily, but I guess it’s Talos’s daughter, he’d think the best of her.

But that ending. You cast the amazing Cobie Smulders for Avengers, have her be a side character with almost nothing to do for over ten years, and kill her one episode into the first story she’s actually a part of. Why? What a waste of not only Cobie, but Maria Hill. One of the only other movies she had anything to do in was Far From Home, and that wasn’t even actually Maria (speaking of, where was real Maria during FFH? Real Fury was in space, but real Maria was presumably on Earth).

    Overall, a fairly frustrating watch.

    PLAYER SUPPORT REPORT

The Player Support team is back with another report about known issues and aspects of the game that players should be aware of in the coming weeks. Here’s their report:

Known Issues List | Help Forums | Bungie Help Twitter

KNOWN ISSUES While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:

We are aware of an issue where the “Battle Rhythm” Seasonal challenge incorrectly instructs players to defeat targets anywhere in the system. This challenge can be successfully completed in Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard Ops playlists. The Strand Slayer Crucible bounty is not progressing from Strand Primary weapon kills. Players can die from finishers if the enemy dies before the finisher animation completes. The “Efficient Angler” Seasonal cChallenge is progressing inconsistently. The Crucible Competitive placement series does not drop the Mercurial Overreach Sniper Rifle. Due to an issue, the Kephri’s Horn Exotic Titan Helmet has been temporarily disabled. The Helm of Saint-14 Exotic Titan Helmet is not functioning as expected. Players can get stuck outside of the final boss arena after self-reviving in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. For a full list of emergent issues in Destiny 2, players can review our Known Issues article. Players who observe other issues should report them to our #Help forum. FROM TWAB TO TWID

Hippy: From TWAB to TWID, there’s a journey behind every blog post. If ever there was a more accurate representation of what that process is like, it’s this. Please, take this 100 percent seriously. It’s very serious, OK. OK?!

Movie of the Week: Where TWID?

    FISHING IN COMPANY

Bruno: Fishing, what a great thing, right? EsSpecially in good company.

So, that is it for this week’s TWID. I hope you had fun reading and now go catch some fish! Get ready for the upcoming Bungie Day Giving Festival, and keep an eye out for a preview of our mid-season weapon tuning updates in July. See you next time and haut rein (That’s “Let´s go” in German)!

  • Yes and no. It is true that going to reddit to troll reddit benefits reddit in the short term, but I think it’s harmful in the long term. By making /r/pics, /r/gifs, and /r/aww John Oliver themed, /r/wellthatsucks becoming vacuum themed, and /r/interestingasfuck and /r/iOS becoming essentially unmoderated, it is making those communities ultimately pointless, irritating users away from the site, and raising awareness. John Oliver even tweeted about it and provided dozens of pictures for their use, and it’s likely at this point that LWT will do something on the situation when the writer’s strike is over. I’ve only gone to reddit to vote in the troll polls- I don’t think that’s the kind of engagement reddit actually wants at this point.
