Any gasket will need to be replaced eventually, but these seem to be failing pretty fast if it’s gasket related. Seems more like a design flaw.
Yeah, I was looking at those but they were way more expensive and would probably result in me needing stitches. My shins are a mess already with plastic pedals lol
Sounds great, I can’t wait to never hear about it ever again because that’s what happens every time something amazing like this gets an article.
Apologies in advance, I’m not exactly your target audience:
I can drive just about anything short of a semi-truck (when I have to drive a car, it’s usually an old manual Subaru), but I still refuse to drive whenever possible: Partly for environmental reasons, partly for financial reasons, and partly because I would much rather ride my ebike or my bicycle instead.
Your mother clearly didn’t braise you right.
Probably the open source nature of Lemmy but also…
Are you an American? Based on US politics, much of the world would be “left wing” when much of it is really largely just moderates. Politics have been pushed so far to the right in the US that most politicians range from far right to moderate right, democrats included. Despite all the noise far right people are making about “the left”, there’s almost no far left representation in US government at all. Many of the people they’re talking about are just moderates and fellow conservatives that aren’t right wing enough in their view.
I was joking, but how many souls do you have?
This is why I use Squatch pedals, but I still kinda pedal toward the ball of my foot.
No, I’m thinking about the garage/warehouse full of bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc.
28mph is plenty fast on a bicycle for me, I’m fine with class 3. I usually ride closer to 15-20 anyways on the “fast” end, faster if I’m in a hurry and things are clear I guess.
I’m not saying you should fuck up their ride buuut, I’m not saying you shouldn’t either.
Wink.
It’s not too late to make an autism palace.
Your ebike is a monster lol. Look at ebikes from the regular bike manufacturers like Tern, Specialized, Marin, Trek, etc. Ride1up makes good budget stuff too. There’s Lectric as well, the One looks interesting and should be out by this Fall. Those would all be significantly lighter than your bike.
There’s kind of a point of diminishing returns with batteries in terms of size and weight so ideally, your battery should be maybe a little bigger than necessary to get you to your destinations under the worst conditions (i.e. it’s freezing out, maybe snowy or muddy) but not much bigger.
Good luck!
Of course they are!
As much as? Oh no, the prices go much higher than that.
I’d sooner switch to a bicycle or just fucking walk. So sick of this bullshit.
Presumably it’d be loaded down with gear, but it still seems sketchy as hell to ride anywhere near 80mph
Wild, have you messed with moving it around during exposure?
