Brain played a cruel trick on me this morning, dreamt the fire alarm was going off and it woke me up

Hope y’all are having as good a day as I am. Took off work to get my car serviced, even tho I put it off for like a year longer than I should have the only work it needed was an oil change that I know I should’ve had done 2-5k miles ago but somehow the oil was still only ‘kinda dirty’ and it was more of a recommendation than a hey you need to do this. They even got me out of there way ahead of schedule!

A lady also called my 5 days since last wash curls gorgeous, think I’m starting to get the hang of this hair thing.

Now to dig in to Factorio dlc for the weekend.

Got confused for a trans gal that recently came out at work this morning. That’s the third or fourth time something like that has happened. 🤔

I was already pretty sold on nix due to the config files basically forcing me to self document changes, and the rollbacks saving me when I inevitably screwed something up, but getting a chance to see it actually work and totally recreate my system was very cool. So far anything I want to change has been in the nixos options, or home-manager options, or someone’s made a flake for it that I can just pull in so I haven’t had to get too deep, which is great for me because I’m a dumbass who barely knows what they’re doing

The drive my NixOS install was on started failing, so I bought a new one and reinstalled. Literally spent more time trying to get the new drive in than I did getting Nix up and running again.

This one got me.
