I’ve had kind of the opposite problem. Like I’ll go to a meetup and almost everyone else is in their 30s or 40s, not mid 20s.

I’m so, so happy that I transitioned when I did, but I feel like all of my trans friends are all in our 30s and we barely ever meet anyone older or younger. We’re kinda all on our own.

This is also what I did. The urban northeast feels like a different country. It has problems of gross inequality, poverty, and gentrification (I suppose I’m contributing to them), but no one is particularly bothered by me being trans and there are far more left wing people and groups.

Can we just stop bothering with running 3rd party left-wing presidential candidates? Obviously you will never win, but also you won’t “build awareness” either. All that Jill Steins years of campaigning have achieved is convincing normies that she’s a Russian agent or something.

I don’t want to be overly critical of the PSL, but honestly I feel the same way about their presidential campaign. Yes, I’m sure it makes some people feel good when they vote socialist. But where is the actual awareness building? PSL gained a lot of members and attention in my area after the early Palestine protests. They have not gained anything from this presidential campaign that probably takes a bunch of their organizers time.

But what if I did date a cis person? Do I require that at least 50% of their past experiences are with cis women? Like if they only like trans people but are super kind and respectful to me why does it even matter?

In my experience, the creepiest and grossest chasers are straight-ish men who have mostly dated cis women. So like these guys def seeing me as a woman at some level, but they’re still gross and weird fetishists who will make me feel bad about myself.

I feel like people call any cis person who likes trans people a chaser. Which is kinda true but also they’re not all bad necessarily. The really bad chasers are the ones who have internalized shame over their attraction to trans women (usually) and will take it out on you.

I don’t think you need to lie to her doctor about your wrist injury. Usually, doctors are slightly more on your side than insurances and will work with you to find something a treatment that is covered.
