I met my wife on OKC like… 10 years ago. I’m glad I exited that hellscape before it imploded.

Much appreciated. I’ll give it another shot maybe tonight and throw some XFCE on here.
I’m using an old Dell XPS 13. It’s 10ish years old. That could be part of the problem. I’m currently using chromeOS flex on it. It’s fairly usable, but I don’t have audio. I really only use it rarely and for things like d&d.
I know the Macbook battery life is because it’s brand new, but it’s still impressive to me that she rarely has to charge it.
Whenever I try Linux on my laptops, I always seem to have issues with sleep/resume from closing the lid.
While my wife’s Macbooks battery lasts for like 18 hours.
I’d buy any game that lets me play as Danny DeVito.
How does Garuda handle HDR and multiple monitors with varying refresh rates?
That and stuttering has been some of my gripes.
I’m pretty sure we all are, buddy.
I wonder that myself. Someone didn’t double check the QR code before sending it into production… but you’d think a huge company like Mattel would have some SOPs for this kind thing.
There seems to be a commenter on the article that is saying it’s a Western Digital firmware issue and not a Windows issue.
It’s NOT a Windows issue. It’s an SSD firmware issue.
Linux developers encountered this firmware bug back in 2022.
That’s super neat. I’ll get around to checking it out at some point.
You know, I remember that. My PS1 never had an issue, but I know a few people who did.
And soon enough we’ll see 1tb games once storage is plenty.
I have learned that there is a toooon of variance in things you’ll see here. It’s a little nutty, but also interesting.
That’s a good point, and a good idea about modifying the installer. I will give this a shot next time I have to do a reinstall. Thanks!
I do a workaround when installing/setting up Windows on others PCs. Use my dummy MS account -> create local user -> change to admin -> delete out the MS account. Boom, then only the local account is on the PC.
Everyone loves to shit on Zorin but I like it. Fedora is way too slow with updates for me. Mint is nice, but Zorin feels more cohesive with its UX.
