What would stop someone from creating a tool that tagged real images as AI generated?
Have at it with drawings that are easily distinguished, but if anything is photorealistic I feel like it needs to be treated as real.

I think the Deck is too big for my tastes
That’s what she said.
Honestly though I love the size of the deck but could even go a little bigger. Agree that as more manufacturers start using SteamOS it will be great to have options.
I love the 8bitdo Pro 2. No connection issues in either Xinput or DirectInput mode. Battery life is great and it can run on the included battery pack which will charge via USB-C or AAs that will actually extend the battery life.
You don’t want to know what the hummus is.
I’m honestly shocked you still have a job.
Heck, you could probably be charged with some sort of crime for helping people with disabilities.
Sadly there are some people who believe that.
She is a documented immigrant.
The issue you’re highlighting is due to the difference between metal and plastic. I have an Orca bottle that has a plastic lid that screws on without any rubber gasket and I end up with shreds of plastic in the bottle.
Plastic rubbing on metal leads to the plastic degrading and metal on metal does not make a good seal, so I think a rubber gasket is your only option.
Am I the only one who doesn’t really see the issue? It sounds like they used her voice to narrate journal entries. This is done all the time in documentaries just using a voice actor attempting to sound like the subject. If they are transparent about it being an AI recreation I don’t see how it’s that different.
NYT says it is real.
I have no way to prove it obviously but nothing in that story was made up.
I played through the demo last night. A couple thoughts…
I would say I remain cautiously optimistic about the game.
So wait, I’m not just a grumpy old man who doesn’t like a lot of noise, this is actually a disorder?
Honestly though it’s an interesting question and I wonder if this is just the “natural state.” I really started to feel it after I went RVing for a year. It’s a relatively recent (in the overall span of humanity) development that people would be in groups large enough to make this be an issue.
Not all men are trash.
I am, but not all men.
I was at a hibachi place in December and one of the managers was trying to light a candle. The lighter didn’t work and he made a joke that it “must be made in China. It’ll cost 25% more soon!” A guy at the table said “well you’ll just need to buy one made in Pennsylvania!”
I asked him if he knew of any companies that manufactured disposable lighters in Pennsylvania, and he just said “Trump will make it happen!”
The disconnect is crazy.
It is disabled in the default configuration because you need enough swap space to enable it - which is an overkill amount of swap for any other use case.
You just need to allocate enough swap space for hibernation.
Both of those work on Linux. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Power_management/Suspend_and_hibernate
Looks more like I-40 than 95.
I highly doubt any commercially available service is going to get in on officially generating photorealistic CSAM.
