Well, speaking for myself, no one ever told me I should be more ant-like. And the thought never really occurred to me on its own.
Guess I’ll give antification a shot, see you when I can lift 8 times my weight!

Just play the music video of Big Enough on YouTube.
Indeed it did.
Thanks! The migrations failed to run, haven’t really had the time to debug, because I didn’t expect it to fail, so I didn’t have any quick restore prepared, I had to restore from ~17 GB raw SQL file which took around hour and a half.
Today I’ll be prepared better, the restore should be a matter of minutes, giving me more time to debug what’s going on.
Edit: though I may have fucked up by doing two things at once instead of one by one - I tried to do a major db update at the same time.
Sure, but the commander still chooses who to send where. It’s not like someone with the attitude of “don’t tell me what to do” will be sent to murder civilians. They’re still gonna send someone who acts first, thinks later.
What’s so shocking? Soldiers are specifically chosen from people who obey first and ask questions later if at all. And that mindset is further drilled into their heads during training.
ActivityPub is both a server-to-server protocol and a client-to-server protocol, so in theory a generic server is possible. But almost nothing uses it that way because ActivityPub sucks at client-to-server.
The shitty small village I used to live in as a kid/teenager has like 300 people and is older than the USA by some 400 years.
The same could be done right now with Lemmy and Reddit. But it would be a hack that’s gonna be broken every time the site updates in a backward incompatible manner. Which will happen.
If the interoperability is not part of the core product, all you get is 3rd-party hacks.
Wow, thanks! :)
Also lemmings.world, it has Lemmings in the name which makes it the best by default. Hosted in EU.
Not yet, sadly haven’t had the time, some life stuff happened. It’s still planned, though, I’ll create another post when that happens.
Well, if it’s not something I really want to see, I just close it. If I do want to see it, then:
I do and same for other kinds of annoyances, like the recent trend of “pay us or give us consent to mine your data”.
Is it open source?
I don’t feel like it’s better at all. Somehow it’s worse. Though my exposure to social media other than Reddit is very limited, I’ve left Facebook before it was too shitty and never had any other social media (well, I had Twitter but I used that like 2 times a year).
I think only her husband is older? Though it’s been a while since I read Silmarillion.
Thanks!
They do everything to prevent evidence of the participation of another state, North Korea, in the war against Ukraine.
Why, though? Everyone and their mother knows North Koreans are involved.
Rookie stuff, in Czech we have čtvrthrst. No vowel in sight.
