yeah I was gonna say…have been to a few saunas in Britain and people always wear bikinis or shorts

agree, but it’s not just lemmy, it’s every social media site. On bigger ones like reddit it’s just easier to only interact with specific groups. lemmy has the problem of being very small, so if a bunch of people leave it will hurt more. It feels like this conflict has always been unique in how polarizing it is.
this is insane
thanks will have a look. maybe there’s a workaround somewhere
that is disappointing. was thinking about installing plasma next week. any workarounds? any other things that don’t work on a laptop?
I think I needed to hear this, thank you
very well said
So glad I don’t have to use Windows at work
would be great to know if it comes with drm. I don’t have a kobo. It says ‘use on any device’ on the humble page…does that mean no drm?
I fully agree. User accounts should be separate and content should not automatically be hosted on all linked instances. It’s not scalable and will only lead to endless defederations.
congrats very well done!
maybe but liking stuff goes through much faster in the mobile website than in jerboa. I always have to tap multiple times in jerboa and rarely more than once in firefox. and I always get the timeout even when it finally works.
that’s the big elephant in the room when they keep moaning about having to be profitable and all the apps leeching off them. I’m surprised none of the reporting so far has focussed on this point. peak hypocrisy.
yeah young people these days innit. now get off my lawn.
any opinions about leaving a drive or two at work? I’m wondering if there’s any risk to this, but it seems a convenient way to have off-site storage if I leave a couple drives in my drawer at work. encrypted of course…
That’s just so great about this series. So much stuff that just doesn’t make any sense at all but they don’t explain, don’t apologize, even double down…just pure silliness but with splashes of brilliance.
they come across as quite desperate…are they maybe realising that they’re playing with fire?
Cheers, looks like differences between implementations are to be expected. But I agree it’s probably easiest to just minimise use of non-standard stuff to keep the option to switch to another tool.
Is there a good overview of compliant vs non-compliant markdown? Just wondering as I’ve been testing different editors/viewers and even basic things like diff blocks (git diff output in a ```diff block) seem to only be supported in some of them. Sorry if that’s a dumb question. I’m a markdown noob.
they tried. you can choose between old tank controls or modern controls. but given the grid layout of the levels and how lara has to be in just the right spot to make many jumps it can be tricky with the modern controls.
overall a decent remake and good for a couple hours of nostalgia.
