It kind of is actually. Throwing a milkshake isn’t likely to cause much harm, and would probably result in an assault charge. Throwing acid can cause serious disfigurement and possibly death, and a far more serious charge.

You can condemn her actions without the hyperbole. This happened before and it didn’t result in a wave of acid attacks and I’ve no reason to think this time will be different.

Do you know that he didn’t take a gun safety course? For all we know, he could have had plenty of knowledge on how to safely handle a firearm and simply decided to ignore it for the sake of looking cool. The fact is that no amount of safety training can stop someone who decides to do something stupid.

None of that relates to this murder as based on the description of settler concerns, which are more of an issue in the West Bank rather than Gaza, I’m guessing that this happened in the West Bank. (Where Hamas is not the government.)

If the government has even the smallest modicum of dignity, he’ll resign or be sacked. It’s one thing to enjoy crass and offensive jokes, I certainly do, but there’s a time and a place for such humour. I mean he’s the Home Secretary for fucks sake! How in the world did he think that that kind of joke would go down well?

I’ve seen first hand the aftermath of someone’s drink being spiked… It’s not something I ever want to deal with again. Though I’ll bet it was far worse for the unfortunate victim of it.

I think they want the precident of being able to require id verification to access websites. It’s a great spying tool for the government, if they can legitimise it’s use. First they go for the porn sites to ‘protect children’. Then they’ve got a foot in the door with the infrastructure in place to expand it to other ‘objectionable’ sites, and perhaps even further.

Maybe I’m just being paranoid and it’s just puritanical BS pushed by out of touch politicians who are trying to appeal to the moral busybodies in society.

I guess we’ll have to just lock him up while we figure out some way of stopping him committing cybercrime.
