Horizon Zero Dawn. The first time I played it I could not get into the tutorial, just felt so bland. Then years later I tried it again, pushed through the tutorial, and it’s now my all time favorite video game series.

I’m already anticipating the articles about the inevitable launch-day patch and mountain of breaking bugs.

Yeah Risus lends itself well to short adventures for sure. I think Toast of the Town is a superb adventure and could fit well with any system. Hope you get to run it sometime!

I have done this so many times and for no particular reason. It’s just fun!

Looks like for now they’re just going to use their own forums for updates and such. Would be cool if they landed on Lemmy eventually like the Star Trek subreddit did.

Yeah ngl it doesn’t sit right with me making this version of the Skrulls into the bad guys. I was super interested in what they would do with them after writing them as immigrant refugees in Captain Marvel. But looks like we’re just going with the problematic trope of having immigrants/refugees be terrorists.

I’m still hoping to enjoy the show on the whole, but I’m going to have to overlook that part to do so.

I agree, but the whole “instances” and federation stuff can be overwhelming for the average user. As long as enough power users and content creators make the move, then Lemmy has a good shot long-term.

Doesn’t bother me. I’m not a FOSS-only person, although I like using FOSS stuff when I can. As others have said, in a worst-case scenario, you still have your text files. Even if you really went nuts with plugins and have all sorts of custom stuff that won’t easily transfer to another service, it’s still all yours and you can probably recreate most of it somewhere else.

I think the real test will be when these API rules go into effect at the end of the month. Will all these people who showed solidarity the last two days leave the site then, or will they just quietly download the official app and continue on?

I love playing an Artificer. It’s a crazy-flexible class with how different its sub-classes are. You can really fill any niche you want to with it, although my favorite is the Artillerist. Eldritch Canon go!

Yeah that’s what I did with a few of the Lemmygrad communities. As well as all the German-language ones that flood my feed with posts I can’t read lol.
