Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

Playing Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout as my primary game. Not much to add here.

Started (and finished) Until Dawn. It has been in my library for ages.

A bit scary for my taste, but enjoyed the game overall. Didn’t know it had such a big cast. Wanted to go back and play through multiple times more, one by keeping everyone alive, and one by letting everyone die and then get the Platinum, but when I tried I realised you can’t skip the cut scenes or any conversations, even if you have seen them before. Not going to sit through all those again, will just watch different endings on YouTube.

This also confirmed for me that I don’t like horror, so not going to play any other Supermassive games.

Keeping with the theme of this year, started another game from very back of my backlog Apotheon, it’s an old side scrolling Greek RPG from 2014 or so.

Visuals are very nice, like those pot paintings (whatever they are called), black characters on yellow (and other coloured) backdrop. I am making it sound simple, but they are very detailed. Controls take a bit getting used to, but it’s fun when you get the hang of it.

Also, downloaded Marvel Rivals, some friends are interested in trying it out. Let’s see how long this lasts.

What about all of you? What have you been playing?

I want to start 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Had so much fun with Unicorn Overlord this year, curious about my next game from Vanilla Ware. Every game of them was just good i have played in the past.

13 Sentinels is a masterpiece, you’re in for a real treat, but don’t look up anything about the story until you’ve played thru the whole game

13 Sentinels is their most unique game.

Strange mix of genres (point-and-click adventure mixed with… tower defense?!) but if you enjoy story-heavy games it’s an absolutely must-play. But stay away from spoilers, going “what the hell is going on” while trying to piece together the story is part of the experience. 😆

Also, while the tower defense segments are fairly simple (in particular compared to Unicorn Overlord) I did enjoy them quite a bit, replayed a bunch of stages multiple times and grinded all my characters to really high levels.

Oh, and the OST is amazing.
