Figured I’d ask how everyone is carrying on in a new game.
Personally nearly all my deaths are boss related, a majority being purely based on a one shot kill, or a mechanic I failed to manage/know how to stop.
Outside of bosses, it’s just been getting body blocked by the hordes a few times.
Out of all of it, I only felt two of my deaths felt unfair/completely unexpected.
I’ve died about a dozen times so far and just made it to act 3.
Getting body blocked as ranger who is listed as being able to not be body blocked is painful. Dying to getting hit by EVERY PROJECTILE from a boss when I jump OVER them also was painful.
Those dual bird fully random bosses in the desert was the only time I think things were just not fair, as I got a combo or two that was just impossible to deal with on mobs that have a jump you can’t get away from. (Stuff like temporal bubble making it even more impossible to do anything, I don’t remember the actual combos I died to.)
And then yeah, a few one shot mechanics that I did not see coming the first time around… oh and getting to the trials boss at half honor with 40% damage debuff first time around cuz I didn’t know those stayed forever and surviving was fine, just small AoE hits eating my honour sucked. But those were all learning experiences for the boss/trials.
The boss of the ‘don’t get touched’ trial having 3 separate aoe ranged attacks that spawn from wherever they feel like it is a hell of a choice. It took me two attempts, the second one I just focused on my character and did the usual bullet hell way.
Ah I haven’t had that yet, something to uh, look forward to. Lol.
