I don’t think any vegetables doesn’t go with pasta. Pasta itself is pretty flavorless. Cabbage is just mildly sweet. The flavor is in the sauce. It tasted just fine!
I hear what you’re saying. In my mind, some foods just make more sense to me in some combinations than others. For example, pairing classic stir fry veggies with rice is nice, but I wouldn’t pair them with macaroni because it’s just weird for me. Does that make sense?
