I was there on reddit and at the beginning of hexbear. I thought about coming back. But, right now hexbear is tolerating a culture that equates good faith disagreement with a personal attack, that makes shallow judgments, that’s far too ready to attack without wisdom. Good faith discussion with a hexbear user appears to be the exception, not the rule it once was.

Over the decades I’ve followed the vanguard from movement to movement as each scales and then fails. I’d perceive this as the beginning of the end. But, none of the other movements began with such sound ideology. Recovery may be possible here where it was not elsewhere.

I may once again join you. But, not today. I don’t have the resources to invest what I believe is the bare minimum required to serve the community.

This is a lie we were never good faith. We have never shown good faith to assholes who waste our time. We aren’t Dems. We don’t play along with people that set off our bullshit detectors out of fear we might look mean, because we know how to spot dog whistles and slimey attempts to disrupt a mile away. You’re not as hidden as you think you are.

equates good faith disagreement with a personal attack

The good faith disagreement: racism, transphobia, pro genocide

Damn I wonder why people take it as a personal attack

There seems to be one particular troll who obsessed with us single handedly bringing about the revolution.

They keep coming back and concern trolling and they’re just really really mad that our tactic is to have fun.

Remember, you can only build communism if you’re super miserable about it.

It’s quite rude really, completely ignoring Lemmygrad’s important efforts to prevent the people from ever rising up for the One True Correct Path of Socialism.

I agree that right now hexbear is mostly full of shit and that it’s unlikely anyone is currently organizing there. For example, I just said that above but you didn’t bother to read and think before speaking.

I’m glad we’ve now this common context. But, I fear what qualifies as a “discussion” to someone who starts off so poorly.

Don’t get snotty about me when you’ve fundamentally misunderstood what I said. I was not agreeing with you at all; Nobody ever has, nor ever will use this as a place for organising, because that is not what Hexbear is for. Do not try to organise here. This is not your local community, it is not an organisational hub, it is not a political party of any form. Hexbear is a social network for a wide range of leftists to hang out in - you have completely misunderstood the point of the website if you are in any way considering it a place for action.

Was it organizing when we created hexbear, funded it, and hashed out the rules together?

            Is education part of organizing?

I find your comment laughable, particularly because you’ve flaunted your PhD in your username.

I’m going to ask you what should be asked of everyone who makes these sorts of claims about Hexbear: can you provide us with even a single example of such bad faith discussions that you claim are happening?

As an admin of the site, I’d love to hear your specific and named criticisms of the site. I would greatly appreciate examples of flaws within the Hexbear site culture and some recommendations on how you feel we can recover the site to a revolutionary platform with sound ideological foundations.

lenin-heisenberg sounds like you’ve been speeding too much time on .world. I generally see/have good faith discussions predominate here unless a LIB gets lost over here shrug-outta-hecks
