You gotta understand just how few pictures men have of themselves. Most of us aren’t randomly taking selfies; a lot of us don’t even have pictures of us with our friends.

I don’t know about you but when i take pictures with my friends it’s because we’re doing stupid shit, dares, disguises, and generally more than a few drinks.

Not just that it’s a picture of a proud moment for me. I’m damn proud I caught that fish… you know how often I’m out there not catching shit???

I see the point, and this kind of makes sense if the guy is older and not comfortable with digital cameras, but it’s really easy to either take a selfie or ask a friend to take a picture suitable for distribution. I feel if one wants to go online to search for a partner, it’s worth planning and executing a few pictures.

Your comment inspired me to look through my camera roll to find a pic of myself.

I had to go back to 2020. It was a picture of me wearing a mask that my wife made.

But you’re on a dating site, why not make some fresh? Genuine question, but that’s usually just what I do. Like I’ll get dressed up in my favorite clothes and take a nice picture to show off a bit. Seems like that sort of approach would only help?

Like I can’t think of any reason to add a fish pic unless they’re just genuinely proud of it, in which case, fish fearing ladies probably shouldn’t apply anyways…

Idk, now I think it’s both good to have the fish pic AND create new pics, imo… Helps screen out the people you don’t actually want and helps showcase your more preened side, if one exists (and if not, that’s also good data for a potential mate to have)

Personally, I did go out and get some new pictures but a lot of guys can’t be bothered I suppose.

As for the fishing, it shows that you have interests outside of staying in all day playing video games lol

The point is the effort. Dating takes effort. If you can’t even make the effort to ensure you get a nice pic or two of yourself, how much effort are you going to put into a relationship?

There are very easy ways to take pics of yourself without it being a selfie nowadays. Phone tripods with Bluetooth remotes exsist for $25 off Amazon.

“We just don’t have pics of ourselves.” …so take some, instead I of just rolling over and saying “oh well.”
