I can only bear the english dub, I really can’t stand DBZ in Japanese. Goku’s voice is so screechy (and yes, for the millionth time, I know his VA was an old woman), I much preferred the english dub honestly.
Maybe it’s what you hear first (i got my dbz from toonami back in the day) but even though i always prefer my anime in japanese goku’s va is annoying. Luckily he’s not one to talk much. Sometimes i miss piccolos english va too.
I normally prefer all my anime in Japanese as well (there are a few exceptions where I feel both the English VA work and Japanese VA work are both superb, for example Trigun and the original Berserk), but I don’t think I took issue with any of the Japanese VA work in DBZ except for Goku (maybe Gohan too?).

I’ll meet you halfway and say I like Goku’s English VA in the Ocean dub way more than Sean Schemmel.
