During several years it was the main game I played, and I played it for hours every day.

I have recovered the map from backups when it developed save errors, I have recovered the map from a hard drive that was about to crash, and I have done some normal migrations between computers.

Most of the time spent in the map was spent in creative mode, all of the time spent has been spent playing without mods.

The map has it all:

  1. Weird towers, many weird towers.
  2. Railroads, many railroads, soo many railroads, I am not kidding, there is a huge ammount of railroads, it is frankly ridiculous how many railroads I have built.
  3. Weird religious buildings, from classic chruches, to many, many strange halls dedicated to religious or cult iconography.
  4. A huge, confusing, underground maze of libraries.
  5. Huge geometrical structures that just keeps going.
  6. A lot of odd glass and light sculptures.
  7. Hugely long but super narrow buildings that just goes on and on and on.

So my question is, if anyone would like to get a copy of this world and see what my mind has built over almost a decade.

I don’t really have the patience to load up a random world in Minecraft to see what’s in it but how can you post about this world without even posting pictures!

I invoke the ancient magics: Pics or it didn’t happen.

I’ve looked through some of them and it seems like you’ve got a thing for these big, long and repetitive structures. If you really did these without a copy/paste mod, I’m impressed. Like the designs are nice, but I’m almost more impressed with you making these without getting bored to death or getting some kind of repetitive strain injury. Trust me, while doing similar things in Minecraft I got both.

I wore out at least two mice building the world, I never used any mods, to keep boredom in check I put on tv shows in the corner of my screen, I watched and rewatched, Star Trek TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, Stargate SG1, SGA, Babylon 5 , Sliders, 'Allo 'Allo, X-Files and probably a few more I have forgoten

Jesus christ m8, those structures are huge! Did you place each block manually? Seems like an insane amount of work even in creative.

Yep, all blocks are manually placed, I tended to half zone out and watch tv series in a corner of the screen when doing it, I learned how to keep the speed up and make long straight lines of blocks as fast as possible.

Oh and the underground structures are all dug out either fully manually or blasted, then I often needed to build a structure to sync the TNT blocks with redstone for the best effect.

It is several gigs large, I’ll see if I can find a host for it, if all else fails I can see if I can make a torrent of it…

I made this post to judge interest before I upload it, I’ll try to get it available tomorrow.

Thank you, 7-Zip is indeed awesome, I’ll have a look.

If I ran Linux, I would just use bz2 or xz, but at least xz is ridiculously slow
