How is it that they gave us an Asian Terran Emperor in Discovery and DIDN’T make her a descendant of Empress Hoshi Sato?

In all likelihood she is Hoshi’s granddaughter (in my head-canon anyway) and everytime Emperor Georgiou was on-screen I was waiting for a mention of Hoshi.

I’m also surprised we have never gotten an official origin story for the Terran Empire given how much screen time they’ve given the alternate universe in DS9 and Discovery. It’s the one thing that actually pisses me off about DS9, they got rid of the Empire.

Is it simply the Roman Empire never fell in that universe?

I hope we see more of the Terrans in Discovery Season 5 but it will probably be kept for the Section 31 movie.
