Ah, probably not for me then. My sense of humor is heavily weighted toward the dry and deadpan end of the spectrum, and a lot of the rest of it just doesn’t do it for me! I appreciate the description though!
I am definitely a human, and therefore have a profile description, as humans do.

I don’t really have any recommendations at the moment, the last gaming PC I built has been running good for 3-4 years now so I haven’t kept up with what’s available.
What I did then was find a motherboard that had the specs I wanted and look up the compatibility of that board with Linux. Usually people will be asking for help with specific issues, or maybe just complaining about it. Sometimes the issues can be fixed with a recent kernel or a firmware update. Another option would be to read down through this list of reviews from Phoronix and see what motherboards he has reviewed that work well. From what I was seeing when I built mine, the kernel supports the motherboard chipsets just fine. It’s usually things like Ethernet/WiFi, sensors, and other things that the vendor adds to the board that will cause issues.
I’ve heard of that podcast, but never listened to it. Is it pretty good?
Nice! I’ve been thinking about what to watch next, I might have to rewatch LD!
I’ll do that! I have a Breton that I’m working toward using as my PVP character, so at least you won’t be obliterating my health bar if I see you! ;-)
The one I found seems pretty good to this point. It’s small enough that I recognize a fair number of the regular players, and there’s a fair number of people that will help with questions and teaching. It’s primarily social, but they do PVE and PVP events as well. So I’m hoping to find a good spot there to hang out!
Yeah, having fun is the important part! I still play mostly solo, but I’ve been enjoying some of the group content when I’m feeling up for it. I’m hoping to get a bit better at the game and do it more in the future.
That’s an impressive number of hours! I’ve never been that dedicated to any one game to this point, but I can see how MMOs could get you to stack that many hours. With every game I’ve played so far there’s always a point where it loses its magic, so I give it a break for a while and maybe come back to it in the future. There’s a few games that I’ve repeated that cycle with for quite a few years. I’m hoping ESO will continue to stay fun, I guess I’ll see!
I’ve never played MMOs much, but I can see how the social aspect is very important. I found a social guild that runs casual PVE and PVP events, and that makes things a lot more enjoyable.
It works great, at least for everything I’ve tried. Newest consoles I’ve emulated are GameCube, Dreamcast, PSP. I would recommend EmuDeck as a launcher for your games, I set it up on my and my spouse’s Decks and it’s been working really well.
In my opinion the Deck is one of the nicest options for handheld emulation right now. If you play PC games as well it’s an easy recommend.
However, if you’re only doing older console games you can get one of those emulation handhelds for a fraction of the cost. I don’t want to say you should go that route, I just want to make sure you’re aware of all the options!
For me it’s usually one of the really small zones, or one of the places off the continent!
Have you taken breaks over the years, or have you played fairly regularly since it came out?
Looks like some interesting changes! Mount speed and the zone names are two I’m looking forward to. I know most of the zones now, but there are some I still struggle with finding. The disguises being added as outfits are going to be fun too, I liked some of them pretty well.
True, I had forgotten about that one. I’ll probably watch it once it comes out unless reviews are very negative. I still need to catch up on Doctor Who as well though!
I wish they had cleared that story up in the first few episodes, or maybe not had it at all! I thought the episodes once she was with UNIT were very good. BBC, it’s still not too late for a UNIT series!
I still wish she had stayed longer on Doctor Who as well! I always enjoyed the character, and it seemed like they stopped using her not long after they figured out how to write for her.
I know someone that has a Beelink mini PC and is happy with it, and I’ve heard some good things elsewhere too. I’m probably going to get one once my current Lenovo mini goes bad on me. They have some sub-$200 USD options that I think can fit two m.2 SSDs in them.
I’m almost finished with my highlights watch of DS9, now I have to decide what to watch next!
I may need to get that Spock action figure! 🖖
In the promotional material it looks pretty good for the price range. Definitely better than the recent Playmates run. Do the prototypes usually look a lot better? I’m sure a little extra care is taken with them than the mass production run.
They’ve given up trying to make a better one and are doing a Skyrim now! 😂
Seriously though, I’m glad to see Playstation users getting the chance to play what I think is the best game in the series. I wouldn’t be upset if they just continued upgrading AOE2 with DLC for another 25 years!
The Glorious Model I2 is on my wishlist to try sometime! Do you think the quality is the same or better/worse than the major brands? I’ve seen a fair number of neutral and negative reviews that are more well thought out than the typical disgruntled customer 1 star rants, so it’s tough to get a good read on it.
