The word is interpreted differently by different people. Just because you think 30 is old doesn’t mean others do.

You are correct, but my point still stands, neither 30 or 42 is what most people think of when they hear “young” - unless they’re retirement age i suppose lol

30 is young to about 2/3rds of the people on the planet. 40 is pushing it. I’m in my 40’s and still get called young by older people, but I’m like “I’m old, not young, you’re just very old” lol. Anyways, to your point, I’d consider 30 to be the cutoff for the young moniker, but it’s different for everyone, based on their age.

30 is younger than 2/3 of the planet, that doesn’t make them “young” lol

But now we’re just arguing in circles over semantics anyways

                I concede that I’m being a bit pedantic. :)

I’m not trying to argue with you, just conveying the message that someone’s definition of young changes as they get older. I don’t think there’s a general consensus as to what qualifies someone as “young”, or if there is then I’m unaware of it. It’s going to depend on who the audience is. Right?

Sorry if I’m kicking a dead dog. Eek!
