Did you use red ink? All capitals? Did you tell them you don’t “understand their intent”.
Bro, you got the spell wrong.
He also forgot to remind them that he doesn’t have an international treaty with them
Without prejudice of course. Gotta add that to every second sentence apparently.
45 degree angle pls
I have just waved a giant red flag for my employer that I am nuttier than squirrel shit.
Imagine HR or payroll receiving this and just bursting out laughing.
Is more of a disappointed sigh because we know that this employee will be a pain in the ass on a weekly basis up until the moment they get fired for cause, or quit with no notice and then file for unemployment.
Then when their unemployment gets denied, they appeal and we have to go to court, where it gets denied again, and then they have a wage garnishment at their next employer because they have to pay back the unemployment they were fraudulently receiving during the appeal process. Rinse and repeat. Hiring managers really should try to not hire people like this, it’s one stupid thing after the next.
I mean, you can ask your employer to disable tax withholdings. It’s a dumb move because you are still obligated to pay those taxes at the end of the year. If you refuse, the IRS will come down on you like a house of bricks.
pay those taxes at the end of the year
You have to pay quarterly or face penalties.

Or become an independent contractor, then it’s up to you to pay all taxes. Then FAFO.
That is my thought. Become an independent contractor and get screwed even more around tax time.

Considering it involves registering with a government. Not likely.
Maybe if they used more “quoatation marks”.
Wait, you mean you’ll work for me and I don’t have to worry about paying into your medical or any benefits since you’re a contractor? Sure!
This is probably the least crazy sovereign citizen crap. It is perfectly legal to not have your employer withhold taxes. But at the end of the year, or quarter, you’re going to have to pay them.
I know lots of smart people that do this because “I’m not letting uncle sam get an interest free loan for a year”. Which, to be fair, is a reasonable statement assuming you have the good financial sense to know what your actual withholdings need to be and pay them come tax day.
This is so stupid because the employer has no control over your withholdings. It’s entirely based on how you fill out your W4. An employer can only require that your name, address, and ssn are accurate, but they cannot require any proof for how you fill out the rest of the form. You come up with ‘head of household’ and add an additional exemption of 100k in step 4, meaning you have 50 dependents, entirely up to you. Would be a dumb move but the employer has no control over your exemptions, it’s the employee that fills out the W4.
That being said, an employer cannot ‘reset your exemptions to 0’ unless the irs sends them a letter demanding they do that… it does happen, forgot what the IRS exemption override mandate letter is called, but none of this is up to the employer.
Wow, I just assumed all these folks were unemployed.
You’re mostly right.
Just claim 9 dependents.
Literally just put 42 deductions on the W-4, they should be right on top of this for once
Urgh I’m the opposite I’m a perma contractor and my company refuses to my withholding for me sucks
You’re a never-contractor?
