Two art collectors are taking legal action against artist over his ‘refusal’ to confirm the authenticity of one of his famous images

Hmmm, this sounds like click bait. No way a suit over authenticity is going to force an identity reveal.

Yep, just a suit over a group responsible for verification dragging their feet.
The group responsible for verification is Bansky’s company
No argument here, but it’s point of existence (besides profit) is to shield that identity. There’s no future outside of Everything Everywhere All At Once where this suit leads to a forced identity reveal. Worst case for that company is a settlement.
Yeah, the whole “anonymous artist” is the bullshit bit.
It really wouldn’t be hard to track down who it is. And he’s either honest on his taxes or a criminal.
Might not be published knowledge, but people know.
The people at the company absolutely know.
Are you saying Banksy is just a profit-seeking endeavor?
My money is on this. Goldie giving it away like a kitten.
You dont have to tell anyone anything you did, and when its a crime (which most street art is) then you have rights against that. But this isnt even about him, its about a middlegroup that hasent done that same thing, So if I was him and being like fuck these fat cats, I wouldnt ever say this is my art again, they can all go fuck themselves.
