He told friends he was going there to drive an ambulance, but in an interview admitted he had become a ‘soldier of the new Russia’ after reading pro-Communist propaganda online.

Was homeless and a heroin addict. Thinks Russia is Communist, apparently. Nazi, no. Chucklefuck, yes.

Honestly, I’m so confused why radical leftists are so pro Russia. It’s not like they’re communist anymore. In fact, they’re an authoritarian kleptocracy, which sounds like the type of government the folks on hexbear and lemmygrad would like the least.

Even some people that experience the “real, existing socialism” can be pro russia…and they had to experience the worst part of it.

“But we had work back then and funny parades” is a hell of a nostalgia drug.

Also the way worse option of we had work often comes into play from people who lived in the Soviet Union and now have a stable job: everybody had to work or you were homeless/starved! Nobody could slouch off of my hard earned tax money and live a comfy life!

Which is like, what? The bare minimum socialism a country could have aka “if you are out of work (hopefully temporarily but we’ll see) we are at least not letting you starve completely/immediately” is somehow too much now‽

The simple answer is Russian propaganda.

Sadly, some leftist brothers and sisters are fooled into supporting an authoritarian, imperialist, murdering kleptocracy.

Oh yeah, didn’t you know to truly commit to denazification you have to get in good with the national front.

It’s crazy to see this guy in front of a communist flag, and directly next to that is the US Confederate stars and bars.

Don’t let him back in the uk. Simple as that. Rescind his citizenship. The government are too cowardly to do that.

Legally a person cannot be made ‘stateless’ - unless they have an alternate citizenship to fall back on, you cannot revoke theirs, no matter how reprehensible they are. The ISIS volunteers from Europe weren’t made stateless, just very dead or arrested

Doesn’t really matter either way, he’s not coming back, the way the war is going he’ll probably be blown up at some point, and if he does survive he’ll be arrested. His nationality is basically not relevant.

I was going to write that this seems like a shitty paper, with the unprofessional writing and typos. Then I saw it referenced a Mirror article. Turns out they lifted much of the wording from the Mirror, but not all of the punctuation. So they took shitty writing and made it worse.

IIRC the Mirror and the MEN are owned by the same company (alongside most other ‘local’ papers including the Birmingham Mail and the Bristol Post).

So they might have the right to copy the text. But they still screwed it up.

In another video posted at the weekend, Stimson makes it clear who he is fighting for Russia.

The ending reads like a grammatical error. But in the Mirror they used a dash. At least that looks more clear, although I’d prefer a colon.

In another video posted at the weekend, Stimson makes it clear who he is fighting for - Russia.

Absolutely. Just a warning that one’ll drive themselves mad if they dig into every error produced in any Reach publication with the sheer amount of content they publish so quickly.

I don’t intend to dig in! But it’s like entertainment journalism: there’s a very low bar!

This seems like something that will move to GPT very quickly (if it hasn’t already).
