WA opens a "hub" in Canberra to promote the state's interests — but the premier says it's not about stepping up the GST carve-up fight. Not everyone's convinced it's a worthwhile initiative.

    I’ve discussed this with coworkers recently. Succession isn’t good enough, we need more land and it would be easier to get the emus on our side than the South Australians… it’s going to be tough, but I think we can do it.
