People should be free to study what they want, and they usually don’t get to. That’s because school is about learning obedience to authority figures for your future supervisor. Not learning.

Don’t blame teachers for this institutional failure.

    Hate to spoil it for you but a lot of teachers do that kind of stuff on purpose. If it’s cringy and students hate it or it ends up being funny, that reaction itself will help kids remember it.

      I do it in my slides at my workplace. I love hearing the groans when I make a bad joke. I’m not sure why.

      I’m 15 years removed from school now but my god do I still remember the cringy song they used to teach us all of the wavelengths of radiation. All of us from that class do, it’s crazy how good it actually works. And if i ever need to figure out which one is stronger I just sing the song and I get the order.
