This was announced on the earnings call yesterday, but here’s an official article about it.

I’m withholding my outrage/outcry assuming they don’t squash it or raise prices or enshitify service.

What are they gonna do replace all the offshore customer service with AI? >.>

I would try to get customers moved from Metro to Mint to break that brand association with Metro piece of shit service. Mind you, that was a long time ago, but I still hear metro piece of crap when people talk about metro.

tbh when on leaving mint, the customer service was the best part. go into chat to get the required transfer. pins, all they ask is the necessary info to approve the transfer and for data collection purposes was the reason I would be leaving, in and out process, 10 minutes and not some bullshit situation with many companies where you have to call them on some waitlist that takes hours.

I consider joining Mint but what I’ve found is that I prefer to be billed monthly and then just pay my bill yearly and let the bill credit come down each month until it hits zero. I know it’s semantics but it makes me feel a little better because I can just add more money whenever I need to if needed. Like if my bill would be at zero in February and I don’t have the money in February, but I will have it in March. I can pay for one single month to put it into March and then pay the 180 at once to bring my bill credit back up.
