Nah but doin videos about games will do that to ya. Uncritical support to Thorhighheels.
Game reviewers/“content creators” have a strong bias toward games they can finish within a week and get on to the next one
Aye, whereas I’m real happy to sink into a good RPG for anywhere from 40-100 hours :)
In the minecraft modpack I’m playing right now, one of the goals I’m trying to accomplish involves building a giant machine and letting it run for 30-40 hours.
Not only do I mostly play thousand hour build games and huge RPGs, I usually mod them to be longer. RimWorld, for example, I play with heavy tech mods and completely disregard the rocket. My playthroughs end when my computer can no longer bear the weight of the simulation.
wish there was a “unite the planet” victory condition. i go for it anyways the best i can (trying Rim War right now)
Pretty sure that’d be past the point where it slows down to an unplayable crawl
we’ll see how far rocketman can take it before i say fuck it let’s play dwarf fortress again
I don’t care how long a game is as long as the story is interesting and it’s paced well. I’ve played 8 hour games that felt artificially lengthened and 80 hour epic JRPGs that I wanted to keep going.
Yes, yes, and YES.
Honestly its fine if it can stay good for that long

About the same here. Last game I beat was Cult of the Lamb, which took about 24 hours and that length felt about perfect, leaving me with absolutely no interest in doing any of the “postgame” after beating the final boss.
The only exceptions for me are games with a substantial creative element, like city builders, or games with tons of mods (and often those two categories overlap).
Is the new Persona 3 really 100+ hours? I feel like the PS2 version was shorter than that

I beat ADACA’s campaign in ~9 hours and that was so refreshing.
What does ADACA stand for ?
ADACA
I think that’s just the name of the game. Never played it, but it’s a retro styled FPS
