    For those not in the technology space, Snowflake is a software product that allows data to be stored behind it and access/managed easier.

      Cloud data storage platform is a more accurate description. My project uses it to store tons of log data from our back end services. They have a query interface that our BI team uses to do long term trend analysis on the data. But we don’t store anything super sensitive there. No PII, no credit card data, nothing proprietary.

        Consider the audience here. If they aren’t technical this may confuse people more. Especially because Snowflake can frontend on-prem data sources too, not just public Cloud. Unless you’re also using “Cloud” to refer to “Private cloud” which is usually an on-prem deployment, which is yet more confusion for a non-technical audience.

        I was using a simple approachable description so people could differentiate that we’re not talking about a slang for a type of human behavior.
