The only word I can read off that sign are: 50% off, merchandise, final sale. (and save now)
Yeah, it looks like they forgot to take the sign-writing class. Everyone think they can write a sign until they try it. It’s a simple skill, but it’s not entirely without skill.
Anyway, the handwriting on the sign says “50% off select merchandise. Price will scan at register. Final sale.”
Man, that “select” is brutal. I guess, it’s supposed to be uppercase letters, but somehow they also wrote it in cursive and gave the ‘c’ a loop that makes it look like a lowercase ‘e’.
I could figure out the other words, but not that one. “Select”??? It makes sense from a semantic point of view, but there is no way that it says that. It does not look like that at all!!
Well, you have to kind of read it like that: Sεʟεᴄᴛ
But yeah, it is rough…
Aye. My SO is an artist at a chain store (not this one). As in, that’s the majority of what she does all day. Making signs.
Not just price and promo signs but even the big special signs. It takes a skill I know I don’t have.
