Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, has spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it’s now facing hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects.
I don’t see how taking money away from the public education system AND allowing the vouchers to reduce taxable income for the users couldn’t possibly result in more money for the state, but I also enjoy the sweet taste of lead paint!
