I have also found it on soundcloud: https://m.soundcloud.com/listenleft/sets/frantz-fanon-the-wretched-of-the-earth

I don’t know anything about the person who is reading it or the edition or whatever, but I think I can listen to this while driving and still use my navigation app (unlike YT) so sharing here in case it helps anyone else.

ETA: I listened to the first 20 mins on my commute today and have the following accessibility notes: it’s text-to-speach, probably AI generated. The intonation and mispronunciation make it challenging to understand at times. It is also read quite quickly. English is my only language and I feel like I will likely have to listen to it more than once to make sure I didn’t misunderstand anything.

It’s still better for me than lying to myself that I will sit and read 🫣

Thanks for the link! I definitely think this is one that would benefit from an audio book, I started it and its pretty dense and upsetting but delivered in a very narrative way

Thanks for the heads up! I am halfway through the intro and I feel like it’s largely there to frame the book and how challenging of a read it will be for the reader if they belong to the colonizers.

I found interesting (depressing?) parallels with more recent discussions about white fragility. In my ignorance I thought this was a more recent concept. Clearly, it isn’t.
