Hi all,

For those of us with Early Access we get our hands on the game in a matter of hours. Therefore I’d like to remind everyone about our spoiler policy.

Spoiler policy:

  • No spoilers in titles; if you want to share images with spoilers, preferably post the image in the body of the post. If you do make an image post, mark it NSFW.
  • Add [Spoilers] to your title if there will be untagged spoilers in the post.
  • Game mechanics and general discoveries (ship parts, weapons, etc) don’t need a spoiler tag.
  • Details about questlines and other story related content are spoilers. Use your best judgement!

We’ll be keeping a close eye and handing out warnings to first-time offenders, and bans to repeat offenders.

Remember - spoilers are OK as long as they are tagged properly. Images of spoilers need to be tagged NSFW so they don’t automatically load for people.

Thanks for your work on that. The early access release makes this particularly tricky for the rest of us waiting for full release.

I had to block all the variations of /c/gaming because of baldurs gate 3 spoilers since I have a console, so I feel ya.

NSFW will block the content from some people seeing it at all. Better to have images in spoilers be in the body of the post that way the posts wont be hidden from anyone blocking nsfw.

Fair point, I’ll look at making that clearer in the rules.

Will the spoiler policy last until next year?

I think it will stay in place for a significant amount of time. Definitely into next year.
