fortnite is “free” and rakes in billions per year. i’m not “pro-epic,” but have definitely spent money on the game store, when they have sales combined with coupons

all that to say: even if EGS never becomes profitable, epic isn’t going anywhere. people’s hatred of them notwithstanding

edit: also remember epic owns unreal engine, so they’re making royalties from any game that uses the engine and makes over $1 million
