I’ll note that the original text on the greenhouse gas emissions chart has a typo, saying “millions of metric tons” when it should say “billions of metric tons”. This is very apparent if you look at the source

in other words, 14 people making 50K need to pay an extra 1K in taxes, so that the much lower number of people making 400K can pay 14K less
Also, they’ll borrow huge amounts of money so the handful of people making 10 million can pay 500k less in taxes.
