Oh man, regardless of the bit of ambiguity in word placement do I feel for these parents. Solicitors only knock on the doors of toddlers during nap time. Usually in neighborhoods and houses that have signs explicitly asking them not to.
The only thing we can do is encourage them never to return.
When last I was on ground level and strangers came to the door trying to sell something, I’d take a picture of their ID - oh, that’s for the cops in case I get broken-into in the next year - and send them on their way. I think the last pair were hot water heater scammers but they didn’t get their chance and they never came back.
