9 is 3+3+3, 7+3 is 10, 3+3 is 6, 6+10 is 16. I’m also a fucking heathen.

Might as well do:
9 is 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1, 7 is 1+1+1+1+1+1+1 therefore 9+7 is 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 which is 16.
