minus-squarekava@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·edit-212 hours agothis should have been done a long time ago. there’s gonna be a referendum on nov 5 2024 along with the general election: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Puerto_Rican_status_referendum PR (pop: 3.2M) has more population than Wyoming (pop: 586K), Vermont (pop: 648K), Alaska (pop: 734K), and North Dakota (pop: 789K) combined (2.8M) Puerto Ricans (at least outside of PR) tend to be less inclined to vote right wing unless another famous little Caribbean island
