Biggest and longest isn’t always better and with them highlighting the amount of cutscenes I’m thinking it’s going to be an example of that
Despite the headline, the length of cutscenes wasn’t their justification for the length of the game, just a separate question.
It’s going to be a story-driven action game, of course it’s gonna have hella cutscenes but from what’s been shown so far, I’m actually looking forward to it.
Kingdom Hearts 1 had 4.5 hours of cutscenes, and that game came out in 2002. “Nearly 4 hours” is nothing, imo.
Yay I love sitting at my computer with mouse and keyboard in hand watching my character do things. /s
Yay, a shitty movie.
so it’s not a game per se, but an “interactive novel”.
4 hours of cutscenes is not my idea of playing a video game. If I wanted to watch a movie then I’d go to the movies.
It’s okay, you guys are allowed to be objectively incorrect.
A thirty hour game with four hours of cut scenes would be less than ten minutes of cut scene per hour of game, on average. Doesn’t seem too bad to me.
But, I am also more okay with an “interactive movie” than some.
Can’t confirm, I love the Yakuza series largely because of their incredible cutscenes. They have an incredible trifecta:
- challenging boss fights
- fun side content
- top tier cutscenes
