I really wish they would have stuck with a virtual console format like their previous consoles. I still can’t justify the extra cost of the expansion pass, especially with the scarcity of quality titles they add to the service. I’d much rather purchase the occasional title that interests me personally.

Yeah, I prefer ownership over subscription to a service too. It’s a bit easier to justify with the family plan and sharing costs.

For me its less so ownership and moreso the recurring price. I still pay for NSO due to its current cheap price but its definitely less ideal than picking and choosing which games I care about.

Both are not full ownership, not too long ago Nintendo shut down the 3DS eshop so those titles are inaccessible unless you downloaded them on device before the shutdown.

That’s a good point about the 3DS eShop. I was one of the ones who was making sure I have all my stuff downloaded until the end.

I am so excited for this! This was my first Fire Emblem game. I couldn’t ever get into the switch 3d versions of FE like I could the old GBA pixelated ones.

Same! The characters in this game just felt like they had so much personality, at least when I played it as a teenager. The ones on console had so many characters that I just never connected with their side stories. Or maybe I was just getting too old for stories like this, I don’t know.
