What has y’all experience with fidget or stim toys been? I’m getting assessed for ADHD, and it’s likely i have autism, too. Today, during one of the ADHD assessments I mentioned to the psychologist applying the test that I pick the skin around my fingernails constantly, and she recommended getting one.

Do they help, in your experience? Anything to look for in one?

    I keep a tiny bean-filled squish toy on me at all times. It’s practically silent when smooshed and has really helped with emotional dysregulation when my AuDHD gets overwhelming. I found a lady on etsy who hand makes them, and I’ve ordered a few different animals and sizes. One of the best gifts I’ve given myself. An example:

        I originally searched for “sand-filled animals” on etsy if she doesn’t have stuff you like, but the large frog she has looks pretty punchable-sized. There’s quite a few items that people make specifically for stimming and comfort, too. Hope you find something that suits your needs!
