Send this to Jensen every time he claims that frame generation is real performance.

    Edit: typo

Honestly this is probably a good thing for Nvidia, this was a bubble, every one knew it was a bubble, we just didn’t know bad a ~20% is bad but only from a CEO wanting money perspective, the company will be just fine and now we know the floor and it’s still mountains above any other competitor.

I think the people who will bandwagon leave have just left, they will come back but it’s unlikely that More than this will bandwagon leave the next time, meaning the bubble has popped, it can always go lower like all stock but not because it’s a bubble just because it naturally drops and another bubble can form but this one has popped.

Nvidia was in the news last week with plans to build a $1B (or somesuch) AI super data center. Anyone know if that proverbial check got cashed before this weekend? If I were Nvidia’s CEO I would table that datacenter plan for a bit.

Its poking fun at the fact that nvidia is heavily pushing ai generated frame and upscaling to give better performance but many people hate this because it makes reaction times muddy and other artifacting things, and that the poor improvement of performance from the 4000 series cards is being dowbplayed (esepcially for how much they are charging for these cards)

This image is a stock chart of them going down, and the poster is joking that its performance is not as bad as it looks if you use their upscaling technology.

The depreciation in their stock is related to ai valuation dipping down across the indistry china released a free ai chatbot that rivals openai quality at a fraction of the cost and without needing nvidia gpus, leaving investors maybe wondering what all of this money is for, and if huge ai related companies will just be undercut by smaller organizations.

As ai companies move towards making ai agents specialized at certain tasks, we will soon see if huge companies like openai and nvidia will show us why they are worth their current valuations. The time is coming to see some results from the research and development of these companies. They cant just say they have the most important tech in their hands if they dont convert it to value. I think some really cool stuff will come out and i think this anxiety should drive them to compete more. I like this.
