Write what you’re going to say in the box, then think for a moment what you are going to accomplish responding to an obviously miserable person, then click cancel, downvote, and move on.
The only thing you accomplish arguing with shit heads on the internet is accumulating cortisol from fight or flight response, being pissed off the rest of the day, and have accomplished NOTHING even if you “win” the argument.

While I think Lemmy is great, I feel like there’s way more nitpicking about things and that I have felt more targeted here sometimes for differing in opinion on topics. On Reddit I don’t often run into the same person twice after having a disagreement unless it’s a subreddit I regularly visit. I just hope we could have more positive interactions in the future. [email protected] is great for that.
I’m really excited for more mature moderation tools to facilitate a kinder atmosphere in the future.
