You’re arguing with a person that says that Linux sucks, yet also says that people should use a Linux PC because ChromeOS is a Gentoo-derived Linux distribution. That person is obviously trolling at this point.
If you go back and read through his history, I don’t think that’s the case.
He does have a bunch of spicy takes on things but he also has some reasonably based takes on a lot of stuff too.
The old I use Linux for everything but they do everything the worst possible way is a very established hill. Specifically going after cli gsettings change later in the conversation makes me think you probably actually is using at least Ubuntu/Gnome for something and felt frustrated by it.
Not knowing Windows 11 time and date settings makes me think he’s not a current Windows user. I remember you could turn date on and off in the windows tray, but I think that was actually quite a long time ago.
