Iron Skin - Rhino hardens his skin, insulating himself from all damage.
Roar - Grants all nearby Warframes increased damage for a short duration.

The newest recipient of the Heirloom skin! Rhino is as ancient as the game itself and still holding up strong to this day, very fitting for his theme. Sure, there are better tank frames and his Roar is no longer unique to him, but he still receives the strongest, unnerfed version of it and his survivability is still more than good enough to stand up to (almost) everything the game throws at you. He is usually the 2nd frame most new players get their hands on and a very reliable alternative to whatever warframe they chose to start with. He’s a very versatile frame you can bring to any mission and do fine with, plenty strong enough to carry you through the entire starchart and beyond. Praise be his mighty codpiece!

No frills, just on-demand damage, defense, and CC. Rhino is still a beast thanks to Roar’s unique damage interactions and Iron Skin getting reworked to provide overguard. I like playing a minmaxed Roar build when helping new players so they can get a taste of real power.

Who’s the best melee frame? Valkyr? Ash? Nezha? Maybe even Caliban?

No way, it’s old mate Rhino, whose buggy Arcane interactions should by rights be the thing of legend. Broken buggy multidip scaling on Affliction and Influence turn him into the murder frame of murder frames.

Like most of the old guard, he has simple mechanics and flexible modding and helminth, leading to endless experimentation if the frame clicks with you. And like all of my favourite frames, he has a neat mobility gimmick in Rhino Charge.

    My three builds are:

    • Pillage/Empowered Blades, replacing Stomp
    • Damage Decoy, replacing Rhino Charge
    • Helminthless, built for parkour

I recommend investing in casting speed on Rhino, as it’s probably his worst property. Otherwise he’s an excellent candidate for the more obscure shards like primary electric, or what I did with parkour speed.

I highly recommend checking out Amolistic.'s youtube channel, since he’s the wise master sage Rhino lifer.

There is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit.

Rhino is kinda simple but perfectly well-rounded and still relevant, and therefore kinda boring. He’s still very much a straightforward 2014 warframe, just scaled for today’s enemies, so I can’t bring myself to play him much. No special interactions with anything besides a huge dmg buff to everything, a huge tanking overguard ability and a huge aoe CC. Excellent abilities on their own and… that’s it.

I will say he has the interesting gimmick that Charge inherits momentum, just like Slash Dash, so his movement is actually very interesting. I built my Rhino for parkour, including parkour shards and he’s quite fun to play. Credit to Mr Rhino himself, Amolistic., for finding that property.
