High-powered cables connected to delicate electronics should have some kind over current and over temperature protection.

Don’t make cards that need nearly 1000W of power.
Or don’t run that power through 12 very small connectors.

Just embed a power supply on them and have them directly plug in I mean they are already 4 slots big, might as well take all the space ment for addin cards
Why not just embed them with their own 12V power connector and PSU at this point
