Summary
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Donald Trump of living in a “Russian-made disinformation space” due to his administration’s talks with Kremlin officials.
He urged Trump’s team to be “more truthful” after Trump blamed Kyiv for the war and downplayed U.S. aid contributions.
Zelenskyy’s remarks came as U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg visited Kyiv amid shifting U.S. policy on Russia. Meanwhile, European leaders, feeling sidelined by U.S.-Russia talks, held emergency meetings.
Zelenskyy canceled a Saudi Arabia trip in protest.
That’s clearly false. He is actively attempting to expand presidential authority at the cost of the Congress, courts and federal agencies. He’s also replacing staff very agressively, installing loyalists whom he expects to do what he says. He has already gradually purged internal opposition within the Republican party, and continues work towards that end.
The essence of authoritarianism is grabbing more power (accompanied by claims of needing it for legitimate purposes) - with dictatorship at the far end.
Just ask ChatGPT, look up the definition of the word, use google AI … put in any effort to verify your assumptions or false information is true. And type behavior like Nixon, yes. He does not fit the definition of an authoritarian.
Here, since you need what the definition is. I’m not sure how you don’t think trump isn’t authoritarian. He’s a fucking wanna be dictator, and he’s consolidating his powers more and more.

Chat gpt it’s not a source lol
It’s a free brain. You can do the research and come back but ChatGPT seems smarter than most people.
It’s a plagiarism machine it doesn’t think. It’s not smart, it’s not a brain. But you’re correct in your statement that it’s “smarter than most people” but that’s not a good thing.
We’re not talking about 2020.
And I would be really surprised if ChatGPT would give you a straight answer on the current administration.
lol although the San Francisco based OpenAI Inc. removed their company policy claiming to be politically unbiased last month, the current AI and crypto czar, Angel investor for Facebook, Uber, and Air BnB, has repeatedly accused OpenAI Inc of being liberal. For the above reasons, it’s most logical to assume ChatGPT will not become TrumpGPT without significant and obvious ‘noise.’
The AI chats don’t seem to give a straight answer on ANY issue. They always give a waffle-y answer that tries to account for ‘both sides’
Well, that’s how unbiased thinking works. Very rarely is there one truly ‘right side’ but most human experiences have sides where both sides have benefits and downfalls. It’s bigots, the hateful and prejudice who think the world is divided into ‘good’ and ‘bad’ people.
Sure, but that makes it unhelpful as a source if it always picks the null hypothesis (for lack of a better way to describe what it’s doing)
Capitalist competition attacking each other with accusations of being too liberal doesn’t make an organization liberal.
Open AI is branching into military contracting. That should tell you everything you need to know about their political positions and aspirations with the new administration.
Basically anyone who is a fed could have seen from 3 decades away that the gov wants AI for weapons. While Open AI is involved as a government contractor (which introduces new regulations), the Feds have been poaching ‘ML/AI pros from places like Google and meta for the past 5 years. There are a shocking number of ‘super computer’ engineers working at the labs. I disagree that National security is divided among parties. It’s called ‘the mission’ because it’s a big ominous thing beyond laws. I love working with the DOE/DoD because you aren’t allowed to talk about politics at work. Can be fired for it. That’s great! Keeps things way less political.
None of what you said disagrees with my post.
Open AI is courting the current authoritarian administration, they want some of that defense contractor money.
So what if it gives them more rules to follow. We both know those rules will be gone soon. And we both know that the money is worth it to them.
They are not liberal, they are capitalists chasing money. And they will say whatever they need to in order to follow that money. Which means they need to stay on the side of the authoritarian who will actually pay them.
Donald Trump is authoritarian. Rather or not the United States can keep him in check is a different question
And since you were so big on being pedantic, scroll back up and see what I said. I said President Trump is an authoritarian.
He wants to be king, he wants to be like Putin, he admires people like Hitler.
I’m talking about his attitudes and intentions. Not rather or not the US qualifies as an authoritarian regime. We will find out the answer to that question very soon.
He’s a toddler who is going to push the boundaries until they break. And if anyone tells him no, he’s going to throw a fit. What happens after that, will answer the question.
But my initial comment, was about Trump’s character. Not if the union currently qualifies. I think how they start responding to mass protests in the spring will let us know for sure.
I fully expect state violence and suppression will be the response. At which point you can eat all of your words.
From chatGPT: “Donald Trump is often described as having authoritarian tendencies, but whether he can be classified as a “true authoritarian leader” is debated. While he has demonstrated some characteristics that align with authoritarianism—such as a disregard for democratic norms, an emphasis on strong, centralized leadership, and a penchant for undermining checks and balances—he has not fully implemented the institutional changes or widespread repression typically associated with authoritarian regimes.
Key authoritarian tendencies in Trump’s leadership style include:
However, several factors complicate the argument that Trump is a “true” authoritarian:
So, while Trump exhibited several authoritarian behaviors, he did not fully embrace the comprehensive, systematic authoritarian rule seen in other countries or historical figures. Whether this was due to institutional constraints or his own leadership limitations is a subject of ongoing analysis.”
Again, this isn’t 2020. That information is outdated and obviously came from earlier training data. Yet you keep citing it as your source.
